Make pottery with us on Martha's Vineyard

This August, I invite you to come and create your own set of ceramic animal vases with me on Morning Glory Farm at Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard. It will be a fun and inspiring workshop in which you will learn basic sculpting and decorating techniques, and explore your creativity. And: you will be left with a set of your own handmade animal vases afterward.

All experience levels are welcome ❤️ Find all the details below:

Sculpt and paint your own Ceramic animal vases

In this workshop, you will be making two ceramic animal vases. You will choose which animal to make from four designs (penguin, pup, bunny, cat) and you will paint them with colored clay slip. We will be there to guide you through the process and provide you with tips and inspiration.

Setup

The workshop will take place at Morning Glory Farm, and will have a total duration of about four hours. At 9am, we will start the workshop with an introduction on sculpting animals and painting them with clay slip. I will also share techniques on how to add different details and designs to them, so you can give them your own personal touch.

After this, you will start creating your vases. I love color and will make sure there will be lots of different colors to paint your pieces with :) We will be there to guide you in the process and provide help and assistance whenever needed. Occasionally you will be served coffee, tea and a snack.

After the workshop, I will ask you to leave your creations in the workshop space. I will dry- and fire them, and within a week after the workshop, your pieces will be available for pickup. In case you are no longer in the area when your vases are ready, we will ship them to your home.
